Comparison

grimDMARC vs. other DMARC providers

EasyDMARC, dmarcian, PowerDMARC, Valimail and grimDMARC all solve the same core problem — getting a domain to DMARC enforcement safely. Where they differ is who the product is built for and how far past DMARC reporting each one goes.

We don't know every detail of every competitor's current plan, so this page compares by category rather than claiming specific gaps in specific tools — if you find something here that's inaccurate, tell us and we'll fix it.

Most DMARC tools were built for one domain first

The established DMARC platforms started as single-domain reporting tools and added MSP/reseller layers later. That shows up in the details: domains often live in one flat list per account, bulk onboarding may sit behind a plan tier or a sales conversation, and the primary dashboard is usually built around aggregate report volume rather than "which of my customers needs attention right now."

grimDMARC starts from the MSP workflow

grimDMARC's data model is MSP → Customer → Domain → Services from the ground up, not a flat domain list with tags bolted on. A CSV import takes 50–100+ customers and domains from a spreadsheet into staged, reviewable records in one pass, with fuzzy customer matching and duplicate detection. The dashboard is built as an Action Center — surfacing what's broken and who's affected first, instead of a wall of compliance-percentage charts. And DMARC, MTA-STS, TLS-RPT and BIMI are managed from that same dashboard today, not four separate logins — with Hosted SPF next.

How they compare, by category

Specific feature sets and plan tiers change often — the "other providers" column intentionally says "varies by vendor" where the honest answer depends on which one and which plan, rather than asserting a gap we haven't verified against their current offering.

EasyDMARC, dmarcian, PowerDMARC, Valimail

These are established, capable DMARC providers. Each has its own strengths: dmarcian is one of the longest-running names in the space, Valimail has particularly deep BIMI/VMC tooling, PowerDMARC and EasyDMARC both offer broad DMARC reporting and MSP/reseller programs. We're not going to claim any of them lack a feature without checking their current plan first, and features and pricing change — always verify against the vendor's own site before deciding.

What we can say with confidence about grimDMARC specifically: it's built customer-and-domain-first for MSPs from day one, it unifies DMARC with MTA-STS, TLS-RPT and BIMI in one dashboard today, and it runs on EU infrastructure with GDPR treated as a default, not an upsell.

Frequently asked questions

Is grimDMARC an MSP-only product?

No — the platform works for a single domain too. But its object model (MSP → Customer → Domain → Services) and its bulk CSV onboarding are built for the workflow of managing many customers' domains at once, which is where it differs most from single-domain-first tools.

Does grimDMARC replace EasyDMARC, dmarcian, PowerDMARC or Valimail?

It's a direct alternative for DMARC reporting and enforcement, with hosted SPF/BIMI/MTA-STS management layered on top. Each of those vendors has its own strengths — for example Valimail's BIMI/VMC depth or dmarcian's long-running feature set — worth weighing against grimDMARC's MSP-first workflow and EU hosting depending on what matters most for your situation.

Where is grimDMARC's data hosted?

grimDMARC is built by a Swedish company on EU-based infrastructure, with GDPR compliance as a default rather than an add-on. See the Privacy Policy for the current list of processors.

How much does grimDMARC cost?

Launch pricing is €9 per active domain per month, with no credit card required to get started. See the pricing section on the homepage for current details.

Does grimDMARC support SPF, BIMI and MTA-STS, not just DMARC?

Hosted DMARC, MTA-STS, TLS-RPT and BIMI are live today from one dashboard. Hosted SPF is in active development — see the Hosted Solutions page for current status of each service.
